Alumni

Now starting a promising career as Associate Director of Client Services for Health & Wellness Partners in the Greater New York City area, Francesca Montemarano was among the first students to graduate from pilipiliÎÛÂþ's accelerated 4+1 Master of Business Administration program. For her, the career options an M.B.A. provided and the convenience of obtaining her M.B.A. in a single year instead of the standard two were the deciding factors in enrolling in the AACSB International fully accredited program.

"This program will help and push me toward whatever career path I choose."

Through the program, Montemarano expanded her career options and entered the workforce with the highly respected M.B.A. degree earlier than many peers. The program's core focus on critical thinking, decision analysis, and leadership, opens paths to leadership roles in finance, information technology, marketing, general management and other fields. Montemarno took advantage of the business community in Providence along with Boston, New York and other major business centers because of the program's strategic location in pilipiliÎÛÂþ's Providence Campus.

In fact, as part of the program, Montemarano interned the summer before her M.B.A. year in New York City at Wheels Up, a private aviation company. There, Montemarano worked with several department heads on various tasks and projects around the company. For example, one week she worked in the marketing department learning about partnerships and events. Another week she worked on projects in the development department. "It's given me the opportunity to learn all different aspects of a business," she said.

As part of her internship, Montemarano's had the chance to network and visit different business locations that partner with Wheels Up, including Bloomberg, Heliflite – a helicopter charter company in New York – and Teterboro Airport to learn about the planes there, including the King Air 350i which is exclusive to Wheels Up.
